Head of Company Commercial at out Bedford office

Role

Mark is the head of our Bedford based company and commercial team. Mark deals with acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, corporate finance, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, general commercial contracts and partnership law. Mark has a particular interest in Enterprise Management Incentive Scheme and EMI Share Option Schemes. Mark also is the head of the firm’s employment department and advises on contracts of employment, restrictive covenants, transfer of undertakings and redundancy.

Experience

Mark’s recent experience includes:

 

• Acting for EIS fund in connection with investments in and exits from qualifying companies.
• Acting for a family disposing of their interest in a builders merchants.
• Acting for a Bank in connection with a Management Buy-Out of a company offering professional services.
• Acting for the purchase of a business in the Midlands.
• Advising in connection with a joint venture for the distribution of software.
• Advising an international automotive company in connection with a large scale redundancy.
• Advising in connection with establishing Enterprise Management Incentive Share Option Schemes.

 

Background

 

• Educated at Wellingborough School and then Birmingham University
• Articled with Edge and Ellison in Birmingham.
• Qualified in 1991.
• Joined Borneos in 1992 and was made a Partner in 1996.
• Mark is married with two children. His interests include motorsport and rugby.
