I paint places and things I have seen,
or want to see, for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment of putting colour and life onto
paper. I find that people who buy my work, also share this love of Colour. I use oil pastel for various reasons: the tactile
quality, the brilliance and richness of colour and the immediacy of the medium is not only
attractive but rewarding - this allows me to work with a certain speed and urgency. I look
forward to the time I can devote to my painting each day, the satisfaction derived from
completing one piece eclipsed only by the exciting possibility of the next.
